Description For Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack Web Development

General Motors is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Brands & Marketing Software Engineering Team within the Digital Products Engineering (DPE) organization. This role is based in Austin, TX, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence three times per week.

The position involves leading engineering efforts for web products across GM, working with a team that collaborates closely with marketing leaders to build innovative customer experiences at scale. As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for mentoring less experienced engineers, building relationships with technical leaders across teams, and fostering a strong team culture.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack web development, with particular emphasis on frontend technologies. You'll work with modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud technologies, and be responsible for architecture decisions that impact large-scale systems. The role requires both technical excellence and leadership skills, as you'll be guiding the team in best practices and engineering productivity.

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology while helping shape the future of automotive technology and customer experience.
