Backend Engineer

Genmo is an innovative research lab at the forefront of AI video generation technology, working towards advancing artificial general intelligence (AGI). They are seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team in San Francisco to build and maintain critical infrastructure for their API and billing systems.

The role focuses on developing robust backend systems that handle API usage tracking, billing events, and customer integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python or Go, and be comfortable working with REST APIs, event-driven systems, and PostgreSQL databases. They will be responsible for implementing integrations with various platforms like Stripe, Orb, and Metronome, as well as developing both internal and customer-facing dashboards for analytics.

This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technology while building scalable backend systems. The engineer will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the company's billing infrastructure while contributing to the broader mission of advancing video generation AI technology.

The role requires 3+ years of backend engineering experience and offers the chance to work with modern technologies and architectures. Additional experience with billing platforms, frontend development (React/Next.js), and multi-tenant architectures would be advantageous but is not required.
