Application Engineer, Google Cloud

Google's Corp Eng team is seeking an Application Engineer to join their Google Cloud division in Hyderabad. This role sits at the intersection of technology and financial systems, where you'll be responsible for implementing critical software solutions that support Google's internal financial planning and analysis processes.

As an Application Engineer, you'll be working with Google's IT organization, which provides end-to-end solutions across Google. You'll be part of the team that builds world-leading business solutions that help scale Google's operations. The role requires strong technical skills in Java, Python, or C++, combined with an understanding of financial systems and business processes.

Your responsibilities will include implementing software products through the entire SDLC process, from design to testing. You'll work closely with stakeholders to solve complex problems, build consensus among cross-functional teams, and influence decision-making processes. A key aspect of your role will be partnering with internal business teams to develop system goals and delivery roadmaps while setting technical direction for other engineers.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in designing and integrating internal and third-party applications, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Experience with financial planning and analysis, Anaplan, SAP, and working with web-scale databases would be particularly valuable.
