Application Engineer II, SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

In this role, you will be scaling out Google's financial data built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Core technology. Google's pipelines scale to process billions of records per hour and serve Google finance's most time sensitive and critical processes. The data warehouse will serve as a foundation for next generation analytics platform to deliver reconciled financial reporting and leverage the latest in data science/Machine Learning (ML) to forecast and optimize Google's financial operations.

Responsibilities: • Able to have SAP and Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) skills. • Participate in the lifecycle of SAP business intelligence projects (requirements analysis/design, systems configuration, build development, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution). • Plan, prioritize, implement and deliver investigative reporting systems using SAP, ABAP, SAP Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing technology stack and tools, such as SAP Business Warehouse (BW), High Performance Analytical Appliance (HANA DB), Operational Data Provisioning (ODP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), Analysis for Office (AO), Landscape Transformation Replication (SLT), Data Services (DS), HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI) and HANA Smart Data Access (SDA). • Work with third party vendor products teams (SAP and partners) to resolve issues. • Apply SAP technical, domain, and Business Intelligence (BI) expertise across SAP, first party, and other third party systems.
