Application Engineer III

Google's Corp Eng team is seeking an Application Engineer III to join their organization where they build world-leading business solutions that scale a more helpful Google for everyone. As part of Google's IT organization, you'll be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions that support internal business processes related to financial planning and analysis.

The role involves leading all aspects of web development, from requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance of both in-house and customer-facing applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams using UI and functional specifications as input, while being empowered to act like an owner and innovate to meet user needs.

This position requires strong technical expertise in Java and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), combined with the ability to understand and implement financial business processes. You'll be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, including designing, building, and testing internal applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning and analysis, cloud development, and a track record of successfully integrating custom-built solutions with vendor product offerings. You'll need to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills as you'll be building consensus among cross-functional teams and influencing decision-making processes.
