Area Technical lead, Megamind, Geo Moderation Service

Google's Geo team is seeking an Area Technical Lead for the Megamind Geo Moderation Service. This role involves developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users, focusing on building accurate and comprehensive maps through products like Google Maps, Earth, and Street View.

As an Area Technical Lead, you will:

1. Understand and provide solutions for Geo and beyond, developing platform capabilities.
2. Design, develop, test, deploy, and improve the ecosystem.
3. Build scalable infrastructure to maintain trust across all Geo products.
4. Collaborate on complex projects with multiple Machine Learning and infrastructure teams within Geo and Google.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
• Experience with infrastructure design, software development, Platform as a Service, and backend systems
• Strong understanding of systems and ability to build infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills
