Description For Associate Technical Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics

Google Cloud is seeking an Associate Technical Solutions Engineer specializing in Data Analytics. This role involves developing a deep understanding of Google Cloud's data analytics products, particularly BigQuery, and their underlying architectures. You'll troubleshoot customer-reported issues, build tools for faster diagnosis, and act as a consultant for internal stakeholders.

As part of a global team, you'll provide 24-hour customer support, which may include non-standard work hours and weekend work. You'll advocate for customer needs with internal teams, driving high-quality production. The role also involves working directly with customers on their production databases to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting and determining root causes for customer-reported issues
  • Consulting on database design and architecture for large enterprise customers
  • Working with distributed applications in cloud-based environments
  • Collaborating across functions in a dynamic organization

The ideal candidate will have a background in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, with experience in coding (Java, C, C++, .NET, Python, Shell, Perl, JavaScript) and technical support or software development. Experience in data analytics, warehousing, ETL development, and big data applications is preferred.
