Description For Automated Test Equipment Engineer, Custom Silicon Operations

Google's Devices & Services team is seeking an experienced Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Engineer to join their Custom Silicon Operations. This role combines technical expertise with program management, focusing on high-volume custom silicon manufacturing from NPI through product ramp, sustaining, and end of life (EOL). The position requires deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and testing, with responsibilities spanning factory operations, Manufacturing Execution System management, and quality control.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in semiconductor manufacturing, test methodologies, and cross-functional team leadership. They will work closely with ATE engineers to ensure smooth integration of new products into the test environment, while managing day-to-day factory operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities For Automated Test Equipment Engineer, Custom Silicon Operations

  • Drive cross-functional efforts for technology and operational readiness during New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Develop and implement ATE test strategies and plans for new products
  • Manage the execution of ATE tests, analyze test results, and identify and debug issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ATE test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports

Requirements For Automated Test Equipment Engineer, Custom Silicon Operations

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and testing
  • 2 years of experience with SOC ATE test methodologies
  • Ability to travel as required
