Description For Customer Engineer, AI/ML, Northeast, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in AI/ML for the Northeast region. This role involves partnering with technical Sales teams as a subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role, along with expertise in Machine Learning model development and deployment.

Key responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, resolving technical blockers, sharing AI/ML expertise, working with Google Cloud products for demonstrations and prototypes, recommending integration strategies and architectures, and acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, along with experience in deep learning frameworks, AI accelerators, and machine learning APIs. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as the role involves engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

This position offers a hybrid work environment with in-office locations in Cambridge, MA, and remote options in Connecticut. The salary range is $142,000-$214,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, AI/ML, Northeast, Google Cloud

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Share AI/ML expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
