Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in Machine Learning to join their team. This role combines technical expertise in ML with customer-facing responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about both technology and business impact.

As a Customer Engineer, you'll serve as a machine learning subject matter expert, helping customers understand and implement Google Cloud solutions. You'll work directly with technical business teams to showcase the unique value propositions of Google Cloud, particularly in machine learning applications. A key aspect of the role involves working with specialized ML hardware like Google's Tensor Processing Unit (TPU).

The position requires a strong technical foundation with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 6 years of experience in cloud computing. You'll need to demonstrate both technical proficiency and excellent communication skills, as you'll be responsible for delivering technical presentations, conducting product demonstrations, and helping customers design optimal architectures.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cloud and ML technology while directly impacting customer success. You'll collaborate with product management teams to shape platform development and help customers leverage Google's cutting-edge ML capabilities. Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, Machine Learning, Google Cloud

  • Work with the team to identify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Provide Machine Learning expertise to support customer relationships, including product briefings and proof-of-concept work
  • Work with customers to demonstrate Google Cloud product integrations
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Machine Learning, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience as a technical business engineer in a cloud computing environment
  • Experience with DevOps best practices (CI/CD)
  • Experience in presenting technical presentations and demos
  • Ability to gather, analyze, debug, and fix problems with production systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time
  • Ability to work in a team, with excellent communication skills
