As a Customer Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of pre-sales engineers and field solution architects, working directly with customers to understand their needs and demonstrate Google Cloud's capabilities. The role requires excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with product, support, engineering, and sales teams.
Key responsibilities include managing engineering professionals, assessing team readiness, building training plans, and working closely with sales leadership to identify and prioritize business opportunities. You'll need experience with AI accelerators, cloud infrastructure, and machine learning solutions, plus the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling customer stories.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA or Master's in Computer Science preferred), strong leadership experience, and deep knowledge of cloud and AI infrastructure. Experience with GPU/TPU workloads, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud solutions is valuable. The role requires up to 25% travel and offers the opportunity to work from either Sunnyvale, CA or Kirkland, WA.
