Description For Data Insights Analyst Manager, Trust and Safety Compute

Google is seeking a Data Insights Analyst Manager for their Trust and Safety Compute team. This role involves driving strategic decision-making through in-depth data analysis, delivering actionable insights, and overseeing a team of vertical analysts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, trust and safety, and people management.

As a Data Insights Analyst Manager, you will:

  • Lead a team to uncover patterns of abuse and evaluate decision-making models
  • Search vast datasets to discover anomalies and identify product vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with key business partners and internal teams
  • Develop and implement processes to proactively combat abuse
  • Work with large datasets from the Play Store ecosystem
  • Build and maintain analysis pipelines for risk monitoring and decision-making
  • Create reports and presentations for stakeholders at all levels
  • Design automated analysis tools and dashboards using Looker

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, 7 years of experience in data analytics or related fields, and 1 year of people management experience. Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python is essential, along with experience in fraud and security analysis.

Responsibilities For Data Insights Analyst Manager, Trust and Safety Compute

  • Support and execute a practical and high impact data strategy by leading a dedicated analyst team to work closely with operations, product and Engineering across Trust and Safety Compute
  • Work with large, diverse datasets from the Play Store ecosystem (e.g., review history etc.). Investigate the root causes of business problems, providing solutions that go beyond superficial observations
  • Build and maintain analysis pipelines to provide scalable insights for risk monitoring and decision-making. Generate regular reports on key risk metrics, trends, and operations insights for leaders and stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations on health of operation, analysis findings, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
  • Design and implement automated and standardized analysis tools and dashboards using Looker, empowering users to uncover business opportunities and make informed decisions

Requirements For Data Insights Analyst Manager, Trust and Safety Compute

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields
  • 1 year of experience in people management, as a lead, or coaching or mentoring others
  • Experience with fraud, security and threat analysis in the context of Internet-related products/activities
  • Experience with datasets and analytical tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python)
  • Experience with developing visualizations from data
