Responsibilities For Data Scientist, Energy Analytics, Google Cloud

  • Lead projects on energy systems or market analysis and modeling or optimization
  • Engage to identify, prioritize, frame, and structure complex, ambiguous energy issues
  • Identify and communicate key issues and opportunities for the groups focus
  • Help define investigative direction and influence associated engineering and infrastructure work
  • Articulate business questions, use mathematical techniques with data to find answers, and translate analysis results into business recommendations

Requirements For Data Scientist, Energy Analytics, Google Cloud

Python
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree
  • 2 years of experience as an Energy Analyst or equivalent, working with energy system data
  • Experience with optimization software (e.g., cvx, Gurobi), statistical software (e.g., R, Python), and database languages (e.g., SQL)
