Description For Developer, Go-To-Market Product Strategy and Operations

Product and Business Strategy Leaders at Google bring together teams across functions to help products execute optimally. This role focuses on Developer Go-To-Market Product Strategy and Operations, working across Product Areas (PAs) and cross-functional teams to support Developers missions. The position requires flexing between insights and business communications, with a direct measurable impact on Developer's missions to create a more commercial and customer-focused organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leveraging Product Strategy and Operations skillset to drive improvements.
  2. Identifying and sharing market and competitive insights.
  3. Defining and driving problem-solving initiatives to improve processes and operations.
  4. Partnering to identify gaps and propose scalable solutions.
  5. Driving programs with direct impact on product OKRs.

The role is part of the Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. This team is responsible for underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company
  • Experience with data analysis, SQL, Dashboarding, and Automation
  • Understanding of strategic analysis and data-driven insights
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and navigate complex business issues

Responsibilities For Developer, Go-To-Market Product Strategy and Operations

  • Leverage the full suite of Product Strategy and Operations skillset to identify and drive step change improvements in the organization
  • Flex across the Product Strategy and Operations skillset, spanning between insights, compelling communications, analytics, ensuring successful implementation, management, and measurement of novel projects across go-to-market and Developer teams
  • Identify, summarize, and share market and competitive insights at all levels of the organizations, in partnership with executive cross-product and cross-functional colleagues
  • Define, launch and drive problem-solving and investigative initiatives to improve internal and external facing processes and operations, working to mitigate risks and advocate best practices that are a benefit across the organization
  • Drive and own programs that have a direct measurable impact on product OKRs. Partner to identify gaps and help propose changes to existing policy, systems and process frameworks and propose scalable solutions

Requirements For Developer, Go-To-Market Product Strategy and Operations

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects
  • Experience with the market and engaged insights in the technical environment
  • Experience working with data, using SQL, Dashboarding, and Automation
  • Understanding of strategic analysis, including stakeholder management, executive communication, and data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Ability to efficiently work through ambiguity, change management and to navigate complex business issues across multiple organizations and functions
