Distinguished Engineer, ML Systems Architecture

Google is seeking a Distinguished Engineer for ML Systems Architecture to drive future-looking architectures at the intersection of data centers and IT systems. This role is part of Google's custom-designed machines and data centers infrastructure, one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures globally. The position requires extensive experience in data center hardware architecture and design, with a focus on ML workloads.

The role involves providing technical leadership in modular computation for ML architectures, collaborating with Hardware and Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams. You'll be responsible for leading game-changing architectural and development efforts, working with both internal and external partners to execute on architectures, providing technical direction, operational guidance, and industry influence.

As a Distinguished Engineer, you'll be instrumental in optimizing design points across all engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, thermal, structural, and industrial engineering. The role requires strategic thinking and the ability to drive innovation across functional teams to deliver revolutionary solutions. You'll also focus on achieving high-volume manufacturability with automation and optimized flows, developing standardized solutions for speed, scale, and supply chain efficiencies.

The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $349,000-$485,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
