Google is seeking a Head of Scaled Solutions Engineering to join their gTech Ads team. This role involves developing customer-focused solutions and platforms to increase scale, reach, and team velocity for deliverables across Google Customer Solutions (GCS) and Large Customer Sales (LCS) segments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in computer science, web technologies, and programming languages, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. They will manage a team of Solutions Engineers, deliver strategic goals, and lead change management initiatives. The role requires collaboration with executive leaders in Product teams, regional groups, and other specialists to ensure strategic alignment on opportunities and customer priorities. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex technical solutions and influence future product roadmaps, built around technical best practices and leading-edge technology.
Responsibilities For Head of Scaled Solutions Engineering
- Manage a team of Solutions Engineers that develop scaled solutions with the intent of being delivered to thousands of customers across tiers
- Deliver a strategic goal of the organization, establishing close relationships with executive leaders in Product teams, regional groups, and other specialists to ensure strategic alignment on opportunities and customer priorities
- Manage and communicate processes and metrics to enable a highly transparent, credible, and impactful scaled strategy
- Lead the change management on initiatives that drive greater automation and higher efficiency of complex, multifaceted workflows and processes, for both Google and our customers
Requirements For Head of Scaled Solutions Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 12 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP)
- 12 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python)
- Experience in technical leadership, including experience leading business transformation initiatives
