Description For Lead Test Security Engineer, Silicon

Google is seeking a Lead Test Security Engineer to join their Silicon team, focusing on integrating SOC technologies into mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. This role combines hardware security expertise with software development, requiring deep knowledge of test automation and security implementations across various platforms.

The position involves working with ASIC architecture, design, and pre-silicon SOC verification to implement secure end-to-end manufacturing solutions. You'll be responsible for key provisioning, lifecycle management, and SOC security, while partnering with IT to deploy secure infrastructure for manufacturing processes. The role requires expertise in digital and mixed signal test methodologies, OTP programming, and memory repair validation.

As part of Google's hardware team, you'll contribute to developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. The role offers the opportunity to shape next-generation hardware experiences, working on products used by millions worldwide. You'll collaborate with various teams to improve manufacturing processes, develop test programs, and ensure product security at every stage.

The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $156,000-$229,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of security implementation experience, strong programming skills in Java/C++, and extensive knowledge of Linux and Android systems. Responsibilities For Lead Test Security Engineer, Silicon

  • Conduct Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test program development on UFLEX, 93K, or other ATE platforms
  • Develop a BenchTop and high volume manufacturing System Level Test (SLT) solution working with SLT vendors and internal cross-functional teams
  • Work on IC product bring-up, verification and characterization on ATE NPI production program release
  • Work on new products Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) correlation, and product correlation between system and ATE
  • Troubleshoot on different failure modes and test coverage improvements on ATE and SLT

Requirements For Lead Test Security Engineer, Silicon

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in Security implementation across System Level Test (SLT), Bench and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) platforms
  • Experience with object oriented programming languages (Java/C++) in collaborative environments
  • Experience with Linux, Google Workplace and Android systems
  • Experience with OTP fusing for identification, security, calibration, yield and feature configuration
