Google's Manufacturing Operations team is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role combines software development and hardware testing expertise to ensure Google's powerful computing infrastructure maintains its high quality and reliability.
The position involves evaluating product designs and creating processes, tools, and procedures that support Google's search technology and data center operations. You'll work closely with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to develop and implement testing strategies for Google's infrastructure components.
As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, you'll lead test development for various hardware designs supporting Compute, Storage, Networking, and Machine Learning Data Center products. Your responsibilities include developing automated test software, troubleshooting manufacturing yield issues, and collaborating with design engineering teams to implement Design for Testing (DFT) improvements.
The ideal candidate brings 8 years of manufacturing or test development experience, with strong knowledge of electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation. You should have expertise in embedded software development, particularly with Python, and a deep understanding of computer systems including CPU, storage, and networking fundamentals.
