Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, Google Cloud

Google is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join their Cloud team, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of Google's custom-designed computing infrastructure. This role is part of the Manufacturing Operations team, which is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art physical infrastructure that powers Google's services.

The position requires a blend of hardware and software expertise, with a focus on developing and implementing manufacturing test processes, tools, and procedures. You'll work directly with vendors who build components for Google's infrastructure, ensuring manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. Collaboration with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers is key to determining infrastructure needs and product specifications.

As part of the Technical Infrastructure team, you'll contribute to maintaining Google's data centers and building next-generation platforms. The role involves hands-on work with hardware testing, automated test script development, and close interaction with global manufacturing partners. You'll be responsible for analyzing yield issues, developing test strategies, and ensuring the seamless integration of various infrastructure components.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing test development, proficiency in scripting languages (especially Python), and a deep understanding of hardware testing methodologies.
