Description For Manufacturing Test Engineering, Rack Integration

Google's Manufacturing Operations team is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join their Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO) team. This role focuses on evaluating Machine Learning, Compute and Storage, and Networking rack product designs while creating manufacturing test processes, tools, and procedures for Google's Cloud Hardware Technologies.

The position requires expertise in manufacturing test development, with emphasis on functional testing and automation using Python. You'll work with Google's custom-designed equipment, which forms one of the largest computing infrastructures globally. The role involves close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure Google's infrastructure needs and product specifications are met.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing automated test software, conducting code reviews, debugging test failures, and designing test platforms for global manufacturing partners. You'll also analyze manufacturing yield issues and drive solutions, while identifying Design for Testability (DFT) opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills in manufacturing and test automation who wants to work with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. Requirements For Manufacturing Test Engineering, Rack Integration

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in embedded software or test automation with Python
  • Experience with developing manufacturing test hardware using electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals in PCIe, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
  • Ability to generate product-specific test plans and execute testing accordingly
