Description For Materials Program Manager, Product Manufacturing and Build Management

Google is seeking a Materials Program Manager for their Product Manufacturing and Build Management team, which is part of the Global Manufacturing Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the success of manufacturing production for servers, machine learning, and networking equipment for Google's data centers.

As a Program Manager, you will work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure clear build instructions and on-time delivery for complex products. You'll be an expert in material planning and fulfillment, optimizing the manufacturing plan to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving material readiness for mass production builds
  • Ensuring smooth product transitions
  • Communicating status, risks, and influencing change
  • Developing processes for on-time delivery across multiple Contract Manufacturers
  • Managing projects from inception through completion

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 2 years of experience in material program management, and 2 years of experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning and execution in a new product introduction (NPI) role.

This hybrid role requires travel to Guadalajara three days a week to engage with stakeholders. Only applications from candidates with Mexican citizenship will be considered, in compliance with Article 7 of the Federal Labor Law. Resumes must be submitted in English.
