As a Mechanical Product Design Engineer for Google Cloud, you will design and evaluate data center systems, identifying product requirements and contributing to research and project planning. You'll be responsible for designing and optimizing an architecture that will scale with Google's continued growth, from the chip to chiller.

This role requires physical interaction with hardware equipment in a simulated data center environment, utilizing Google labs, power, and safety equipment. Regular development and processing of engineering hardware must be performed on site.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and design principles, with expertise in designing for medium-scale production, sheet metal and injection molding, structural and thermal analysis. Experience in designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies and knowledge of chip/socket/cooling solution stack-ups is highly valued.
Google offers a competitive salary range of $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits, with the specific salary determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
