Description For MicroLED Display Product Engineer

Google's Raxium display group is at the forefront of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology, specifically focusing on microLED displays for augmented reality (AR) and light-field display applications. As a MicroLED Display Product Engineer, you'll join a team that's pushing the boundaries of hardware innovation, working from their state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley.

The role involves ensuring the performance and quality of microLED display products, reviewing display test data, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You'll be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to guide specifications and determine trade-offs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and methodologies.

This position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $147,000-$216,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in display technologies, data analysis skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For MicroLED Display Product Engineer

  • Identify flaws and issues with hardware components. Solve with limited precedent and analyze key issues, risks, or trade-offs
  • Analyze complex data streams to identify anomalies, troubleshoot issues, and extract valuable insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on testing requirements and optimize test setups
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of test data
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in testing processes, methodologies, and tools

Requirements For MicroLED Display Product Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience working in a technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • 8 years of experience in a product engineering or product development role (preferred)
  • Experience with analyzing product data, specifications, yields, requirements, and trade-offs (preferred)
  • Experience with designing and implementing scalable solutions for production ramp-up (preferred)
  • Familiarity with microLED device fabrication and characterization, and display technologies and product applications (preferred)
