Description For Optical Transport Network Engineer

Google's Optical Networking Technologies (ONT) team is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team responsible for providing global cloud connectivity through optical transport solutions. Requirements For Optical Transport Network Engineer

Go
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with optical technologies (client transceivers, optical metro, long-haul DWDM systems, or submarine systems)
  • Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python
  • Experience with network equipment manufacturers or network operators in an engineering or design role (preferred)
  • Experience with planning and designing large scale networks (preferred)
