Performance Validation Engineer, Silicon

Google is seeking a Performance Validation Engineer for their Silicon team to develop and execute performance validation plans for multi-media imaging IP in Google's mobile SoC. The role involves working in an in-house bare-metal/embedded environment for both pre and post-silicon validation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing emulation and post-silicon verification plans with architects and performance verification lead
• Becoming familiar with the programming model for at least one IP in a custom SoC
• Developing and validating functionality of benchmarks for performance verification
• Executing performance testing plans in emulation and on silicon
• Debugging performance issues using hardware performance monitors

The ideal candidate should have a background in embedded programming, computer architecture, and preferably camera imaging pipeline/mobile SoC design.
