Plant Engineer, Data Center Operations

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and HVAC systems in the world. As a Plant Engineer in Data Center Operations, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting physical facilities conditions. Your duties will include managing heating and cooling systems, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems. You'll inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems, develop creative approaches to reduce operational costs while improving efficiency, and ensure environmental and safety standards are met. In emergency situations, you'll manage performance issues and outages to minimize recovery time. This role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, experience in project and facilities management, and the ability to manage multiple projects with geographically dispersed stakeholders. You'll provide shift leadership, operate critical plant equipment, coordinate global facilities programs, and respond to critical data center events and alarms.
