Research Scientist, Google Translate, Search

Google Translate's mission is to reduce the language barrier by translating text and making Google's products like Gemini accessible in more languages. As a Research Scientist on the Google Translate team, you'll be at the forefront of advancing machine translation and multilingual capabilities in Large Language Models (LLMs). Your work will have a direct impact on billions of users across various Google products, including Translate, Gemini, Search, Cloud, Chrome, Android, Ads, and YouTube.

In this role, you'll conduct cutting-edge research to improve translation quality and multilingual performance in LLMs. You'll design and run experiments, analyze results, and develop novel evaluation methods for machine translation and multilingual LLM performance. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with experience in deep learning frameworks and a track record of publications in NLP or ML conferences. You should be proficient in Python and have experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
