Description For Security Engineer, Product Security, Cloud CISO

Google is seeking a Security Engineer for their Product Security team within the Cloud CISO organization. This mid-level role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in security assessments, design reviews, and threat modeling, as well as security engineering and coding. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in setting the direction for product security in Google Cloud, collaborating with various teams across Google, including security, privacy, and engineering teams. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of security domains, such as conducting security reviews, providing security education, performing web application scanning and testing, vulnerability research, and security data analysis.

Key responsibilities include identifying security issues, implementing and designing security controls and tools, performing security reviews, researching vulnerabilities, and designing secure protocols and systems. You'll also be involved in vulnerability detection through techniques like reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis, with a focus on Google Cloud's security strategy.
