Google is seeking a Senior ATE Test Engineer to join their Silicon team, focusing on developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role combines hardware expertise with test engineering to ensure the quality and performance of Google's semiconductor products.
The position involves developing and implementing comprehensive test solutions using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for high-volume manufacturing at FABs and OSATs. The engineer will be responsible for integrating SoC technologies into devices and facilitating ATE manufacturing testing to validate performance and screen out devices. They will own all aspects of testing and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal test coverage in production.
Key responsibilities include developing digital and mixed signal tests, creating automation methodologies, and supporting internal tools for test program generation, vector tracking, and test program release. The role requires expertise in IC qualification, system-level testing, and yield improvement, with a focus on releasing cost-effective production test solutions into mass production.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with VLSI technologies, product and test engineering, and semiconductor processing. Knowledge of ATE platforms like Advantest 93K and Teradyne UltraFlex SOC test systems is crucial. Experience with SERDES, PCIe, DDR, and Mixed-Signal circuits, as well as advanced packaging and process technology, would be highly valuable.
