Senior Business Data Scientist, Global Affairs

Google's Global Affairs (GA) division is seeking a Senior Business Data Scientist to join their Business Intelligence Group. This role is crucial in enabling a more data-driven and predictive Global Affairs organization, with a particular focus on Generative AI applications. The position involves working at the intersection of public policy, regulation, compliance, user trust & safety, and legal matters.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications in analyzing legal, compliance, and regulatory texts. They will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to address complex business challenges, building regulatory and compliance systems, and protecting Google's ability to provide high-quality products.

The role offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $177,000 to $266,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Working in either Chicago or Austin, you'll be part of a team that plays a critical role in Google's priorities, including regulatory lifecycle work, external stakeholder engagement, and ensuring trustworthy products.
