Google is seeking a Senior Core IP Hardware Architect to join their team developing custom silicon solutions for direct-to-consumer products. This role combines hardware architecture expertise with cutting-edge machine learning and multimedia processing capabilities. The position involves working with Google's research and product teams to define and implement hardware architectures for camera Image Signal Processing (ISP) and machine learning accelerators.

Responsibilities For Senior Core IP Hardware Architect
- Collaborate with Google research and silicon product management to help define the product roadmap for camera Image Signal Processing (ISP) and machine learning capabilities on a SoC
- Partner with camera ISP and Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) hardware IP design teams across global sites
- Engage with SoC and System/Experience architects on meeting dynamic power, performance, and area requirements
- Perform detailed data analysis and tradeoff evaluations to improve hardware architecture solutions
- Define and deliver the hardware IP architecture specifications that meet power, performance, area and image quality goals
Requirements For Senior Core IP Hardware Architect
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in computer architecture concepts, including microarchitecture, multimedia architecture, processor architecture and silicon design
- Experience in algorithms for Camera ISP, Neural Network Processor Units, computer cores, and machine learning accelerators
- Experience in architecting and designing low power multimedia and machine learning hardware IP for complex SoCs
- Experience in micro architecture, power and performance optimization
- Experience in interconnect/fabric, caching, and security architectures
