This role is part of the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization, which is responsible for the hardware, software, and infrastructure powering Google's services and Cloud platform.

The position requires hands-on interaction with hardware equipment in a simulated data center environment, utilizing Google labs, power, and safety equipment. The successful candidate will work on developing and implementing control system solutions, building and testing prototypes, and ensuring system reliability and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise on projects, developing and maintaining system components, troubleshooting hardware issues, and documenting system designs throughout the product lifecycle. The role combines mechanical, electrical, and software engineering skills, with a focus on industrial automation and robotics.

The ideal candidate should have experience with industrial electrical control systems, safety standards, and programming languages like C++, C#, or Python. Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, industrial vision systems, and electronic/mechanical fabrication is highly valued.

This position offers competitive compensation ($126,000-$181,000 base salary) plus bonus, equity, and benefits. It's an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to Google's data center automation initiatives. The role requires physical presence on-site due to the hands-on nature of the work with hardware and equipment.

Join a team that's pushing boundaries in automation and helping scale Google's infrastructure through innovative solutions. You'll be part of an organization that prioritizes security, efficiency, and reliability while shaping the future of hyperscale computing.
