Description For Senior Security Engineer, Controls and Defaults

Google is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Security team focusing on Controls and Defaults. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing Google's security infrastructure, particularly within Google Cloud. The role involves working at the intersection of security engineering and software development, requiring both defensive and offensive security expertise. As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be working with Google Cloud, which serves customers in more than 200 countries and territories. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, Controls and Defaults

  • Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance large scale security solutions for Google Cloud
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Review designs and drive towards defense in depth and security by default, both with long term engagements and development of scalable controls and systems
  • Review and develop secure operational practices and controls, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff

Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, Controls and Defaults
