Senior Silicon Product Engineer

Google is seeking a Senior Silicon Product Engineer to join their hardware team in San Diego, focusing on developing and testing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering and artificial intelligence, working on cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.

The position requires deep expertise in Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) technologies, semiconductor processing, and automated test equipment (ATE). You'll be responsible for developing and implementing test solutions for manufacturing at FABs and OSATs, ensuring that final products meet performance and power specifications. The role involves working with advanced technologies including 3nm nodes and modern packaging techniques like 2.5D and InFo.

As a Senior Silicon Product Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop digital and mixed signal tests, automation methodologies, and support internal tools for test program generation. You'll own all aspects of testing from architecture review to production implementation, with a focus on optimizing test coverage and cost-effectiveness in mass production.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Machine Learning-based automation for improving test metrics in the semiconductor industry, system-level testing with Advantest platforms, and a strong understanding of Design for Test (DFT) techniques. Knowledge of various interfaces (SERDES, PCIe, DDR) and mixed-signal circuits is highly valuable.
