Senior Silicon Product Engineer

Google is seeking a Senior Silicon Product Engineer to join their hardware team in San Diego, focusing on developing and deploying test solutions for custom silicon that powers Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role sits at the intersection of hardware development and quality assurance, requiring expertise in Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) technologies and semiconductor processing.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $156,000 to $229,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. As a senior engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge technology including 3nm nodes and advanced packaging techniques like 2.5d and InFo.

Your responsibilities will include performing SoC Product Specifications, Design for Testing Architecture reviews, and managing New Product Introduction plans. You'll support test hardware design, troubleshoot failure modes, and ensure optimal test coverage in production. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and expertise in various testing methodologies including ATE and System-Level testing.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in VLSI technologies and semiconductor processing, with knowledge of Machine Learning-based automation for improving test cost, coverage, and quality. Experience with advanced packaging, process technology, and Design for test (DFT) techniques is highly valued.
