Senior Software Engineer, Diagnostics, Tools, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Diagnostics and Tools team. This role is part of the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization, which designs and manages infrastructure for all Google services and Google Cloud. You'll work on developing next-generation technologies for hardware, software, and networking that power Google's products and services, including Cloud Platform, TPUs, Storage, and Networking services.

The position involves leading innovation in diagnostic infrastructure, managing projects and team members, and ensuring the optimal performance of Google's test fleet. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing diagnostic tools for Google Cloud Platform NPI projects, as well as enhancing the quality and performance of diagnostic utilities.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware and software, dealing with system programming, debugging, and data center automation. The role requires strong technical leadership skills and the ability to work across the full technology stack, from chip level to distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in system programming, debugging, and team leadership. Knowledge of Linux operating systems and experience with hardware interaction or data center automation would be particularly valuable.
