Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Front End Search Content Platform team in São Paulo, Brazil. This role is part of Google Search, where the team is reimagining what it means to search for information. The Search Content Platform (SCP) is a fundamental part of Google Search, merging structured knowledge with web content, partner data, images, videos, and more.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work on building great frontend and web applications to make development fast, easy, and elegant for thousands of developers in Google Search, Maps, YouTube, and other teams. Your solutions will enable these developers to launch products for billions of users worldwide.
Key responsibilities include writing and testing code, participating in design reviews, reviewing code from other developers, contributing to documentation, and triaging product issues. You'll be solving complex engineering challenges and expanding infrastructure while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of software development experience, with strong skills in front-end technologies like TypeScript, React, or Angular. Experience with full-stack development, API development, and software design and architecture is also required.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, Front End, Search Content Platform
- Write and test product or system development code
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, Front End, Search Content Platform
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
- 3 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development
