Senior Software Engineer, P2020 Rollouts

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their P2020 Rollouts team. This role is part of the Production 2020 program, which aims to reduce the time Google engineers spend on basic service management in production. The Rollouts product suite focuses on making code, configuration, storage schemas, and footprint deployments easy, safe, fast, and reliable.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be working on critical projects for Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the fast-paced business evolves. The ideal candidate should be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders in Rollouts, TI/GCP infrastructure teams, and TPC to define and scope operational requirements
• Implement changes across various existing systems
• Support Trusted Partner Cloud infrastructure implementation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of software development experience
• 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
• Experience with Application Development and Systems Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 1 year of technical leadership experience
• Experience developing accessible technologies
• Proficiency in Go or C++
• Familiarity with declarative service management (e.g., Prodspec/Annealing)
