Google's Security Defense Platforms (SDP) Organization, part of the Security Foundations Organization, is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead their security engineering initiatives. This role combines technical leadership with strategic oversight of security product development. The position is based in Bengaluru, where you'll guide a comprehensive ecosystem of Software Engineers, Security Engineers, Security Analysts, and Product/Program Managers.
The role focuses on the Endpoint Protection Platform team, which builds products and infrastructure for Google Corp's device security. As part of Google's Core team, you'll have the unique opportunity to impact technical decisions across the company, working on foundational security solutions that affect Google's flagship products.
The ideal candidate brings extensive software development experience (8+ years), strong architectural skills, and proven leadership in security product development. - Provide technical direction to the entire Security Foundations domain across the Hyderabad site
- Provide leadership and oversight of all the engineering efforts
- Work with cross-functional leaders in the organization to ensure the right solution is designed, built and delivered
- Lead the execution against strategy for critical projects and areas
- Set local engineering culture for engineers while ensuring good collaboration across sites
Requirements For Senior Staff Engineer, Security Defense Platforms
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products
- Experience in developing security or privacy products
