Senior Staff Software Engineer, Gemini Code Assist

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for their Gemini Code Assist team, an AI-powered enterprise SaaS portfolio that enhances the Software Development Life-Cycle. This role requires an experienced technical leader who will drive the development of next-generation AI solutions in software development, particularly focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications.

The position involves leading multiple teams in building the Code Assist general purpose agent, setting technical strategy, and managing complex GenAI projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, ML infrastructure optimization, and GenAI techniques, combined with strong leadership abilities to influence and coach distributed engineering teams.

The position requires deep expertise in both technical and leadership aspects, including 8 years of software development experience, 7 years leading technical project strategy and ML infrastructure optimization, and 5 years of experience with GenAI techniques.
