Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Chrome Desktop

  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and user experience teams across Chrome and Google to design, build, and launch innovative search, navigation, and AI features
  • Measure the effects of changes via live experimentation and analysis influencing product strategy
  • Contribute high-quality, performant code to the open-source Chromium codebase and internal Google services, utilizing languages and frameworks

Requirements For Software Engineer, Chrome Desktop

JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
  • 2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture
