Software Engineer, Early Career, Chrome

Google is seeking an Early Career Software Engineer to join their Chrome team, which is dedicated to building a better, more open web. Chrome is available across all major platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. As an open source project, Chrome aims to help the entire web ecosystem benefit from innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

The role involves developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users' web experiences. You'll work on critical projects with opportunities for growth as both you and Google evolve. The ideal candidate should be versatile and display leadership qualities while tackling problems across the full technology stack.

Your responsibilities will include writing code, participating in design reviews, providing code review feedback, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting issues. You'll work with various technologies spanning information retrieval, distributed computing, system design, networking, security, AI, natural language processing, and UI design.

The Chrome team specifically focuses on improving browser experiences on both desktop and mobile platforms, with an emphasis on user safety and security.
