Google is seeking a Software Engineer for their Cloud AI team, specifically targeting PhD graduates or those with equivalent experience. This role sits at the intersection of cloud computing and artificial intelligence, focusing on developing next-generation search technologies and infrastructure.

The position involves working on critical search features including structured search implementation, standalone grounding API development, and integration with third-party data sources. You'll be responsible for configuring and optimizing Kubernetes-based infrastructure to meet scalability and performance requirements, while also contributing to the launch of search features and future development roadmap.

As part of Google Cloud, you'll be working in a division that serves customers across 200+ countries, helping organizations digitally transform their businesses using Google's cutting-edge technology. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced GenAI capabilities and solve novel engineering challenges.

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science or related field, with strong programming skills particularly in languages like Python, C++, Java, or Go.
