Software Engineer III, Core

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Core team, which is responsible for building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. This role involves developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide, working on critical projects that extend beyond web search into areas like distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, and AI.

As a Software Engineer III, you'll be part of the team that owns and advocates for underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. The Core team has a unique mandate to impact important technical decisions across the company, building central solutions and strengthening existing systems. You'll work on specific projects critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as both you and the business evolve.

The role requires technical expertise to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You'll be involved in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. Key responsibilities include writing product code, participating in design reviews, reviewing other developers' code, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting complex system issues.

This position offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $141,000-$202,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
