Google Public Sector is seeking a Staff Cloud Solutions Architect for their Rapid Innovation team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring deep knowledge of cloud architecture and machine learning solutions.
The position involves partnering as a full stack software developer with customers and other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) teams across Google Public Sector and Google Cloud. You'll be crafting prototypes to demonstrate GCP platform capabilities and translating experiments into scalable, market-ready solutions. The role requires facilitating cross-functional collaboration through workshops to gather requirements and build roadmaps for GCP platform adoption.
Key technical requirements include expertise in Python or JavaScript programming, experience with data structures and algorithms, and proficiency in building machine learning solutions. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in cloud enterprise solutions and customer project delivery. Additional preferred skills include React development and deep knowledge of AI/ML business use cases.
The position offers a competitive base salary range of $177,000-$263,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. This is a hybrid role with multiple location options including Reston, VA; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; and Washington D.C. Remote work is also available for candidates based in California, Maryland, Virginia, or other US locations.
As part of Google Public Sector, you'll be contributing to digital transformation initiatives for government and educational institutions. The role requires US citizenship due to potential access to classified information. Responsibilities For Staff Cloud Solutions Architect, Rapid Innovation
- Build and maintain relationships with executive cross-functional stakeholders in customer or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services
- Lead customer-facing solutions workshops to gather requirements that deliver back to the customer a plan of record for the customer to follow
- Collaborate with cross-organizational stakeholders and within their respective process life-cycle to provide technical guidance, or identify possible existing/new technical solution offerings to help shape outcomes
- Develop architectures that include cross-platform technologies to be incorporated into subscription agreements, and take a mission-oriented approach using the guiding principles of simplicity, repeatability, and consumability
Requirements For Staff Cloud Solutions Architect, Rapid Innovation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion
- Experience with coding in Python or Javascript, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience in building machine learning solutions and working with technical customers
