Staff Platform System Architect, AI/ML, Silicon

Google is seeking a Staff Platform System Architect to join their Silicon Platform System Architecture team, focusing on enabling and implementing Google's latest Generative AI technologies on Pixel phones powered by the Tensor SoC. This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation and hardware development, requiring expertise in both software and hardware co-design.

The position involves architecting high-performance, power-efficient GenAI solutions while working within the constraints of mobile devices. You'll be responsible for enabling novel AI experiences on Pixel devices, collaborating with multiple teams including AI researchers, hardware architects, and Android engineers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system architecture, AI/ML development, and mobile SoC architecture. A strong background in computer architecture principles, including CPU/GPU/NPU interactions and memory systems, is essential. Knowledge of AI/ML model architectures, particularly in Generative AI models like Transformers and LLMs, will be valuable.
