Staff Software Engineer, GenAI, Data Quality

Google Cloud is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead their GenAI Data Quality initiatives within the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization. This role is crucial in developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide.

The position focuses on building Google-wide first-party tooling for managing large rater workforces to meet human data needs for Gemini use cases. You'll be working on platforms and scalable infrastructure services that enable the collection, storage, and management of large-scale human-generated datasets used in GenAI products and services.

As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for improving data collection quality for GenAI model training, implementing best practices, and working with data scientists to productionize and standardize methods for high-quality data collection. The role requires collaboration across multiple teams including Data Science, Product, UX/UX Research, Infrastructure, and Operations.

The position offers competitive compensation ($197,000-$291,000 base salary) plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
