Description For Staff Software Engineer, Pixel Graphics, GPU Software

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Pixel Graphics GPU Software team. This role is crucial in developing and optimizing GPU technologies for Pixel devices, working across the entire development lifecycle from SoC conception to field deployment. The position involves close collaboration with multiple teams including Android, Pixel Camera, Display, Video and Power, as well as engagement with external partners and vendors.

The ideal candidate will lead high-impact projects, provide technical guidance, and develop innovative solutions for GPU graphics and compute technologies. They will work within the Google Pixel team, which focuses on creating the world's most helpful mobile experience through advanced designs, techniques, and experiences in consumer electronics.

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Pixel Graphics, GPU Software

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience with compiler technologies and toolchains, particularly LLVM
  • Familiarity with graphics and compute shader languages (e.g., HLSL, GLSL) and intermediate representations like SPIR-V
