Description For Staff Systems Architect, Advanced Research and Development

Google is seeking a Staff Systems Architect to join their Advanced Research and Development team, focusing on custom silicon solutions for direct-to-consumer products. This role combines hardware and software expertise to push the boundaries of Google's Tensor SoC platform.

The position involves leading the development of architecture research proposals and specifications for next-generation hardware solutions. The architect will work at the intersection of software and hardware, optimizing system performance and power while introducing groundbreaking technologies. They will be responsible for identifying emerging technologies, conducting feasibility studies, and working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate these innovations into the Tensor product roadmap.

Requirements For Staff Systems Architect, Advanced Research and Development

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience with computer architecture concepts or Linux kernel development
  • 5 years of experience working with Mobile/Embedded SoCs architecture or end-to-end use case system design
  • Experience in Linux kernel and Android architecture
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, mobile System on a Chip (SoC) architecture, and Machine Learning (ML) architecture
