Strategic Cloud Engineer, Application Modernization, Technical Delivery

Google is seeking a Strategic Cloud Engineer for their Public Sector Professional Services team, specifically supporting Service Delivery for the Global Public Sector. This role is crucial in helping customers maximize their Google Cloud Platform investments and requires both technical expertise and strong customer service skills.

The position involves working with government and educational institutions to accelerate their digital transformations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system design, programming, and technical troubleshooting, along with the ability to manage relationships with both internal and external partners. A key requirement is holding an active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

As part of Google Public Sector, you'll be instrumental in bringing Google's innovative solutions to government missions. The role offers a competitive base salary range of $147,000-$216,000, plus additional benefits including bonus, equity, and comprehensive health coverage. You'll be responsible for creating centers of excellence around cloud application development technologies, establishing processes for Service Delivery AppDev strategy, and managing both full-time employees and contingent workforce.

The position requires strong technical capabilities combined with excellent communication skills, as you'll be presenting technical materials to various stakeholders and engaging with executives from large enterprises. You'll also be involved in pre-sales Statement of Work (SoW) support and approval activities, while serving as the primary point of contact for data-related needs.
